Bell Investment Advisors Sponsors Oakland Symphony’s Season Finale, “Stravinsky & Silverman”

OAKLAND, Calif. May 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ – Bell Investment Advisors (www.bellinvest.com) announced the firm is sponsoring the Oakland Symphony’s 2015/16 season finale concert, “Stravinsky & Silverman” to be conducted by Maestro Michael Morgan May 20 at the historic Paramount Theatre, downtown Oakland.

Jim Bell, President of Oakland Symphony’s Board of Directors, comments on the program: “Maestro Michael Morgan has curated a symphonic cocktail with surprising ingredients: Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms (with Oakland Symphony Chorus inspired from their recent tour of Eastern Europe); Barber’s Knoxville Summer of 1915 featuring soprano Nicole Joseph, winner of the 2014 Toland Vocal Arts Competition; John Adams’ The Dharma at Big Sur with Tracy Silverman, electric violin, ten gongs, two flower pots; and Ravel’s ebullient, impressionistic dance-hall romp, La Valse. Please join us as we ride the wave of Oakland Uprising.”
