Mary Witwer, Managing Director, Chief Marketing Officer

Mary has a passion for helping people and organizations thrive. Her role as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer, gives her that opportunity. Mary oversees the day-to-day operations of the office including administration and sales. She is also the force behind our marketing strategy where she structures and builds how we bring our message to the community. Mary is a member of our Investment Committee.

Her career in financial services includes 10 years with American Century Investments, where she directed marketing and communications activities and launched the firm’s electronic commerce group. She has also worked as an executive coach for financial services professionals. She joined Bell Investment Advisors in 2004.

Mary received a master’s degree in Marketing from Webster University, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas. She is a member of the Financial Women’s Association of San Francisco. She is also a member of the marketing committee of the Oakland East Bay Symphony. Mary is a past president of the San Francisco chapter of the International Coach Federation. She also holds a Series 65 securities license.

Mary and her husband Paul enjoy exploring the Bay Area, and are raving fans of NCAA basketball.
