Bonnie Bell, Principal
Manager, Career and Life Planning/Coaching
Bonnie is the force behind our Career and Life Planning services. Bonnie has been Jim Bell’s behind-the-scenes partner in Bell Investment Advisors since its inception and is the leader of Human Resources. Her desire has always been to help create a positive and communicative work environment.
She has worked as a Career Design Consultant and Executive Coach since 1988. She is the founder and former owner of Key Concepts, an outplacement agency for business communications professionals. Bonnie also served as the Director of Tilden Health and Healing Center in Berkeley, where she became involved with health enhancement issues and over-50 life planning. In 2003, she and Jim Bell fulfilled one of their life-long dreams by moving their businesses together in the same suite of offices in downtown Oakland. They enjoy being in close proximity and are gratified to observe the increasing synergy between their businesses as more clients find themselves in need of both financial services and career design.
Bonnie holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling and a Master's of Divinity from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley.
Bonnie and Jim spend their free time pursuing interests that include live theater, the Oakland Symphony and Ballet, hiking and reading. They also share a passion for contributing to the community, and actively donate their time and resources to a variety of charitable and cultural organizations in the greater Bay Area. They reside in the Oakland Hills.
