John joined the Bell team at the beginning of 2010 in the newly-created role of Director of Client Development. He brings with him a rich background in financial services, including commercial, institutional, and private banking; investment management; and trust services.

John is a graduate of Babson College, the leading entrepreneurial business school in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He spent several years in banking on the East Coast, primarily in Boston and New York, prior to moving to Europe for ten years with wife, Carol, and son, Todd. There he worked in Brussels and London, and for several years in Paris.

After returning to the United States in 1998, the family settled in the Bay Area, where John continued his career at First Republic Bank, Mechanics Bank, and Whittier Trust. He holds the Series 65 license, and has held Series 7 and 63 licenses in the past.

John is the member of a number of social clubs and a supporter of several non-profit organizations in which he has assumed leadership roles. These include current positions on the boards of the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and the San Francisco Maritime National Park Association (previously known as the San Francisco Maritime Museum.)

In addition to bringing a cosmopolitan air to the Bell team, John brings an extensive network of personal and professional contacts. “By letting more and more people become aware of Bell’s investment strategies, technologies, and the quality of its professional team, I hope to spread the Bell message far and wide. I revel in this new opportunity to truly help people meet and exceed their financial goals through momentum investing.”

John and wife Carol now enjoy residing in two homes, one very urban in the Fillmore area of San Francisco, and the other a country home in the Sierra Nevada. When time permits, John enjoys escaping to a remote area to cast a fly into a mountain stream and keeps fit through regular exercise, playing squash, and joining his wife and friends for a challenging sail on San Francisco Bay.
