Name: Lauren Taylor

Position: Operations Associate / Receptionist

Joined Bell: 2011

Hidden Talent: baking

Inspiration: experiencing different cultures through travel

If you ask Lauren how she feels about working at Bell, this is what you will hear: “I love my job. I love that I’m one of the first faces clients see when they come to our office. I like how service-oriented everyone is here, and I like that I feel as if I am part of a team. Even though we are all different, we all have like-minded goals and are headed in one direction.”

Lauren is a local girl. She was raised in Oakland and El Sobrante, and graduated from St. Mary’s College High School in Berkeley. She feels very lucky to have had a great high school experience, especially when she hears so many people complaining about their terrible high school memories. Lauren attended St. Mary’s College in Moraga, graduating in 2009 with a B.S. in Health Science.

Lauren is especially proud of the ten years she spent in Girl Scouts – from age 7 to 17. A particular highlight was celebrating her 16th birthday in London while attending a week-long international scouting conference at Windsor Castle. This was followed by a week in Paris, where her love of international travel was set for life. Since that time she has travelled to Florence, Venice, and Rome and looks forward to a life that will always include travel.

While at St. Mary’s, Lauren majored in Health Science and became an enthusiastic fan of team sports, primarily college basketball and Giant’s baseball. She also discovered a love of the scream-inducing rides at the Santa Cruz boardwalk, where she recently celebrated her birthday with her family and best friends from high school and college.

For the next few years, Lauren plans to enjoy working, saving some money, and not studying. She is thinking seriously about applying to dental school in the future, but definitely not any time soon.
